A Big Sayonara to All Our Dear Friends and Family!

Well we're nearing the home stretch; almost all packed and ready to go. Once the movers come tomorrow morning, all that's left is a few last minute errands and a quick clean up - if we're lucky, Nao, Taiga, and I will have our last evening free. We're hoping to do no dirty dishes as well, so I think it'll be Chinese take out tomorrow. Ginger beef one last time!

It's been a bit bitter sweet these last couple weeks. Of course we're all excited about our upcoming new life in Resolute, but saying our goodbyes have had a tinge of sadness. We are definitely going to miss our friends in Whitehorse. Also, Taiga will definitely miss seeing Grandma, Grandpa, and Furley! I am truly thankful for all the enthusiastic support we have had from everyone. Again, to any of my friends/family out there, and for that matter to anyone else who may be reading this blog, my invitation for coffee in Resolute is always open and we have a third bedroom to crash in if you should stay over too late - we're hoping someone will take us up on our offer!!

Not sure if I will be posting again before we arrive in Resolute, but once we get Internet hooked up, I will let you know how the big move went.

Shall miss you all. Look forward to staying connected regularly via the information highway.
Sayonara!

  1. Shall call you tonight. But, we're glad the packing, etc. has gone smoothly. Enjoy the plane ride to your destination with your stop-overs in Yellowknife and Iqualuit - you are seeing cities we will never see - take some pictures to share with us.
Take care and we will miss you but we will enjoy your blog entries and Skype calls. Hugs to our little Taiga - Love from Grandma, Grandpa and Furley (watch out for the Polar bears!!)
